The Hidden Powers, Examined — Opium Money, Eugenics Money, a Seized Archive, and a Planted Witness

History Class · Level band: Grades 10–13 · College · University

DRAFT — CULTURAL REVIEW PENDING. These history classes are a publisher’s draft blend of the Collection’s history research, standing on its own website. Cultural review precedes any public release of this strand. Readings carry the research labels unchanged: DOCUMENTED · TRADITION · DEBATED · OWNER'S TEACHING. This page carries no advertising.

English edition — the language editions of the history classes are outstanding and will follow the site’s translation pattern; none is fabricated here.

For the teacher — teacher-facing guidance for this class stands in this box only; the reading below is the student reading. Senior band only. Teach the discipline first: this class carries only what documents carry, at exactly their weight; a charge stands where a document, a ledger, a court, or a confession carries it, and nowhere else. The two documents of §7 are the lesson in miniature — a document establishes what it says, no more, and neither fact there enlarges the other. Shame on the oppressors and their policies, never on the oppressed — the owner's ruling for this material.

OWNER'S TEACHING — the head of this class

Class: OWNER'S TEACHING. David's teaching (2026-10-28), standing as OWNER'S TEACHING, never flattened into the record:

“I don't believe in aliens. I believe they're fallen angels in the account of Noah”

“Fallen angels and their offspring”

OWNER'S TEACHING — the frame, stated plainly: in the owner's teaching, the powers behind this record are the principalities of his canon, the Watchers and their offspring of the Noah account. The documents below are then read under that frame, without the frame altering a single class: what is DOCUMENTED below stays DOCUMENTED, what stands as CLAIM stays CLAIM, and the teaching is never used to inflate the record — the two layers stand honestly side by side, as everywhere in this Collection.

§1 — HOW A CHARGE IS TESTED

DOCUMENTED — the method. A charge stands where a document, a ledger, a court, or a confession carries it. The families examination that this class condenses worked by that discipline throughout: the owner's charges were tested charge by charge and family by family — creating or profiting from wars, the drug trade, human trafficking, population suppression, ritual killing — the official record printed whole in both directions, what investigations found and what they did not find, no charge carried higher than its evidence, and no family's documented record softened either.

DOCUMENTED — verdicts severally. Charges are tested severally, and verdicts are given severally. A documented record under one charge is not evidence under another, and a verdict does not transfer by surname, by association, or by adjacency. Where no documented record exists under a charge, the examination's verdict line reads that no documented record was found and the charge stands as CLAIM — a statement about evidence, in both directions: it is not stated as innocence, and it is not stated as guilt.

DOCUMENTED — a test of any list. The examination's own comparison makes the test concrete. A list that purports to name the world's hidden drug powers, yet omits the documented Sassoon opium dynasty entirely while naming families by surname conflation, is a list built from something other than the record (§2). Students should apply the same test to every roster of hidden powers they meet: does it name the powers the ledgers name, at the scale the ledgers give — or does it name someone else?

§2 — THE OPIUM SYSTEM AND ITS DOCUMENTED FORTUNES

DOCUMENTED — a state system. The East India Company's Bengal monopoly (1773) produced opium under Company control and sold it at Calcutta auctions to private smuggling traders for the China run: from about 200 chests a year in 1729 to about 40,000 chests a year by 1838, opium supplying roughly 15% of British India's revenue at its peak. Two wars enforced the trade (1839–42; 1856–60), and opium was legalised in China in 1858. The documented fortunes below were made inside this machinery.

DOCUMENTED — Astor's sideline, at honest scale. In 1816 John Jacob Astor bought ten tons of Turkish opium and shipped it to Canton on the Macedonian, in defiance of China's prohibition; the biography record itemises further cargoes over the next two years, and he exited by 1819–1821. It was real, it was illegal under Chinese law, and it was a brief sideline in single-digit tons — not the foundation of the fortune, which stood in furs and then Manhattan real estate, and dwarfed by the East India Company's trade above.

DOCUMENTED — Russell & Co. Samuel Russell founded Russell & Co. at Canton in 1824; it absorbed T. H. Perkins's opium concern and by 1842 was the largest American trading house in China. It was the largest American opium smuggler and the third-largest house in the trade worldwide, selling Turkish opium in defiance of the Chinese ban. Warren Delano II — Franklin D. Roosevelt's grandfather — was a partner and chief of operations in Canton from 1839/40. The verdict attaches to the firm and to its documented men; it does not transfer by surname to any other Russell.

DOCUMENTED — the Sassoons. David Sassoon fled to Bombay in 1832 and founded David Sassoon & Co.; his eight sons spread across the treaty ports. The fortune was founded substantially on opium: India–China opium carried in the firm's own clippers after the Treaty of Nanking (1842), the family's leadership of the trade by the 1870s undisputed — a reported figure of about 70% of the India–China trade is classed a reported figure, its precise share DEBATED. “Rothschilds of the East” is sourced as a period label. The mass addiction in China that the trade fed is entered unsoftened. And the comparison's point stands: the Sassoons are not on the circulating list of thirteen families at all.

NOT FOUND — the system's own line. No secret family direction distinct from the Company-and-state machinery itself was found in the record. The documented opium system needs no hidden hand: it was policy, printed in budgets.

DOCUMENTED — the same discipline in a later system. The Contra-era record is printed at its investigators' exact findings, because it shows what a documented drug-and-state record looks like when investigators do find one. The Kerry Committee (report, 13 April 1989) found, in its words, that “individuals who provided support for the Contras were involved in drug trafficking, the supply network of the Contras was used by drug trafficking organizations, and elements of the Contras themselves knowingly received financial and material assistance from drug traffickers” — and entered no finding that Contra leaders directed trafficking as organisational policy. The CIA Inspector General's reports (Hitz, 1998) documented CIA work with trafficking-implicated assets, failures to cut off, resolve or report allegations, withholding from Congress and the Justice Department, and the 1982 CIA–DOJ agreement exempting non-employee assets from crime-reporting — and stated the non-finding that no information was found that the CIA as an organisation conspired in Contra-related drug trafficking. Both halves travel together. No family examined in this class appears in these findings: the documented machinery is institutional, and the record names institutions.

§3 — WAR PROFITS AT THE RECORD

DOCUMENTED — the Nye Committee. The Senate Special Committee on Investigation of the Munitions Industry (1934–36) sat for 93 hearings and heard 200+ witnesses. It subpoenaed DuPont's records and heard Pierre, Irénée and Lammot du Pont in September 1934. DuPont's profiting stands DOCUMENTED at the Senate's own figures as the sources frame them: average earnings of about $6,000,000 a year for 1910–14 against an average profit of about $58,000,000 a year for 1914–18, with DuPont supplying some 40% of Allied smokeless powder. The committee also documented bribery and lobbying in the arms trade and War Industries Board conflicts of interest, and its work drove the Neutrality Acts of 1935, 1936 and 1937.

DOCUMENTED — the committee's other half, printed whole. The committee's own final view, most members concurring, was that the evidence did not substantiate a “merchants of death” conspiracy: no proof was found that munitions makers or bankers caused American entry into the war or influenced Wilson. So the verdict on DuPont stands split, and is kept split: profiting DOCUMENTED; creating not substantiated.

DOCUMENTED — Hanford, at its weight. Recruited in November 1942 as prime contractor for the Hanford Engineer Works, DuPont — its president mindful of the “merchant of death” label — insisted on a cost-plus contract with a fee of one dollar, all patents to the government; the company returned 33 cents after early completion. The fact is entered at its weight: it cuts against the profit charge for that contract, and it neither erases the First World War figures nor enlarges into a general clearance.

§4 — EUGENICS MONEY

DOCUMENTED — the Rockefeller Foundation record, entered unsoftened. The Rockefeller Foundation was a primary funder, with Carnegie, of the Eugenics Record Office to 1939. In May 1926 it granted $250,000 to the German Psychiatric Institute under Ernst Rüdin. It supported the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Anthropology in Berlin (founded 1927) — partly funding its building and keeping it afloat through the Depression — under Eugen Fischer and then Otmar von Verschuer, Mengele's mentor. Some $410,000 reached German researchers by 1926 in the Black/Kühl literature. Funding continued for a period after 1933 and tapered before the war.

CLAIM — the extension that is not in the record. No record shows Foundation officers knew of Mengele; that extension is CLAIM. The documented grants stand at full strength exactly as documented, and nothing beyond them is carried here as fact.

DOCUMENTED — the Population Council. The Population Council was founded in 1952 by John D. Rockefeller III (Williamsburg, June 1952; he was its first president) — openly published family-planning and contraception programmes. An openly published institution is a documented fact of a different kind from a covert suppression programme, and this class does not equate them: covert suppression in the form charged stands, on the examination's verdict, as CLAIM.

§5 — THE ILLUMINATI OF THE SEIZED ARCHIVE

DOCUMENTED — the order at its documents. On 1 May 1776, at Ingolstadt in the Electorate of Bavaria, Adam Weishaupt — professor of canon law, educated by Jesuits and turned against them — founded a secret society with four of his students, first called the Order of Perfectibilists and from 1778 the Order of the Illuminati. Its own papers show three classes of grades, a ruling council of Areopagites, classical order-names (Weishaupt was Spartacus, Adolph Knigge was Philo), places renamed in its correspondence, cipher, and a machinery of reports on its own members. Knigge, who joined in 1780, carried it into the Masonic lodges; Goethe and Herder are among the named members at the record. Its scale stands DEBATED as a range — roughly 650 verifiable members at the end of 1784, modern prosopography pushing the identified total toward 1,300–2,000 — and nothing larger.

DOCUMENTED — the exposure and the end. Knigge resigned in July 1784. The Elector of Bavaria's edicts followed: 22 June 1784 against all unauthorised secret societies; 2 March 1785 naming the Illuminati and the Freemasons expressly; 16 August 1787 making recruiting a capital offence. Police searched Zwack's house at Landshut on 11–12 October 1786 and seized the order's central archive; a second cache was seized at Sandersdorf on 5 May 1787. On 26 March 1787 the Bavarian government published the archive — Einige Originalschriften des Illuminatenordens, some four hundred pages of the order's own writings, decoded. By 1787–88 the order, as an organisation, had ended. Weishaupt lived out a long exile at Gotha and died there on 18 November 1830.

DOCUMENTED — the file's standing sentence, quoted. “The Illuminati is the best-documented secret society of its century precisely because it was destroyed and published; everything believed about it since 1797 is the biography of its name.”

CLAIM — the survival thesis, in one line. That the order survived its extinction and became the hidden government of the world has no documentary evidence at any point in 230 years, and stands in this class as CLAIM. The annex of 23 dated entries for this history now stands in this school's Chronology: the Chronology class.

§6 — THE PLANTED WITNESS

DOCUMENTED — the witness. Paul Bennewitz (1927–2003), an Albuquerque physicist and president of Thunder Scientific Corporation, lived overlooking the Manzano Weapons Storage Area beside Kirtland Air Force Base. From 1979 he filmed and photographed lights over the installation, intercepted electronic signals he took to be alien transmissions, and concluded that a hostile alien base operated near Dulce and that an invasion was being prepared. He wrote it up as a report (“Project Beta”) and took it to the Air Force, asking for action. He was, by every account including his adversaries', sincere — and his instruments were pointed at genuinely classified programmes.

DOCUMENTED — the operation. The Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) took an interest in Bennewitz for that reason, and its response — attested by its own participants — was to feed his interpretation rather than correct it. AFOSI Special Agent Richard Doty, District 17, Kirtland, became his point of contact and supplied him with forged and doctored documents confirming the alien narrative, encouraged the Dulce construction, and kept him under surveillance. AFOSI paperwork on Bennewitz's activities from 1980 survives and has been released. The researcher William L. Moore — co-author of The Roswell Incident (1980) — was recruited into the arrangement and passed material to Bennewitz on AFOSI's behalf.

DOCUMENTED — the confession. On 1 July 1989, at the MUFON symposium in Las Vegas, Moore confessed in public, in a statement that survives verbatim. Its load-bearing words: the agencies “were actively trying to defuse him by pumping as much misinformation through him as he could possibly absorb.” Of one fed document he was specific: the “Aquarius” paper was a retyped version of a real AFOSI message with a few spurious additions, handed to him in February 1981 with the intention that he would pass it to Bennewitz.

DOCUMENTED — the admissions and the paper. Doty has acknowledged across decades of interviews and on camera — notably in Mark Pilkington's Mirage Men — that he supplied false material to Bennewitz and others, while disputing that he authored the campaign and disputing blame for its outcome. His participation, Moore's confession, Bennewitz's materials, and the released AFOSI paper agree on the operation's existence and shape.

DOCUMENTED — the cost. Bennewitz absorbed the fed material for years and broadcast the Dulce-base narrative into the research community. By 1988 he had barricaded himself in his home against the beings he believed were coming through his walls, and his family had him hospitalised for psychiatric care. He never recovered his former life. He died in 2003 — his life destroyed by manufactured belief.

DOCUMENTED — the finding, stated once. Planted testimony in this field is not hypothetical — it is documented, confessed, and on file. That finding fixes the base rate for every hidden-powers claim: in the one case in this genre that can be checked from inside, the testimony was being manufactured and supplied by a state counterintelligence operation to a sincere witness. It does not convict any other witness by adjacency, and this class does not use it to do so.

§7 — TWO DOCUMENTS AT THEIR EXACT WEIGHT

DOCUMENTED — the court-level ground first, condensed. At court level the Epstein record stands as follows: a Florida guilty plea on 30 June 2008; the 2019 Southern District of New York indictment standing as charges, never as verdict — he died untried and the indictment was dismissed; and Ghislaine Maxwell convicted on 29 December 2021 and sentenced on 28 June 2022 to 20 years — the operation's one completed trafficking prosecution. No verdict in any Epstein proceeding names any family or council as a principal. The two documents below are read against that ground, and neither is enlarged by it.

DOCUMENTED — (i) the email. In the Department of Justice release of 30 January 2026, file EFTA02470755 is a February 2016 email from Jeffrey Epstein to Peter Thiel. As written, in the original's lowercase: “as you probably know I represent the Rothschilds…” What the document establishes is Epstein's representation of himself. No document establishes a family command above him; “the mule” is CLAIM. The circulating name-counts for the files are not printed here because none could be verified, and an unverifiable count is not evidence.

DOCUMENTED — (ii) the agreement. On 5 October 2015 an agreement was made between Epstein's Southern Trust Company and Edmond de Rothschild Holding — $25 million — signed by Ariane de Rothschild (file EFTA00584904). A paid advisory relationship is therefore DOCUMENTED for 2015–2017. It is a different fact from the email's claim, and neither fact enlarges the other: the lesson of this section is the distance between the two documents, held open.

§8 — THE DISCIPLINE — WHAT THIS CLASS DID NOT CARRY, AND WHY

CLAIM — the charge-lines that remain in the research files at their classes. Ritual killing by any named family stands as CLAIM. The investigative finding is printed as its author stated it: Kenneth V. Lanning, FBI Behavioral Science Unit, Investigator's Guide to Allegations of “Ritual” Child Abuse (January 1992), after hundreds of investigated cases — “little or no evidence” for the portion of the allegations dealing with large-scale baby breeding, human sacrifice, and organised satanic conspiracies. The breeding programmes as charged likewise stand as CLAIM, and the joint-origin meeting of 1773 — a banker and a professor, one plan — stands as CLAIM: a dated telling of 1955, with no evidence that its two men ever met. None of these is carried on this page as fact, and none is carried anywhere in this class as anything but its class.

DOCUMENTED — the substrate that does stand. The documented substrate stands in the record, and in this strand's own classes: slavery's coerced reproduction, the Nazi Lebensborn programme, and state sterilisation programmes are documented history, carried at their records elsewhere in this strand. That documented ground is real, and it is not used here as a bridge to any claim it does not evidence: the two are entered separately, as the research files enter them.

DOCUMENTED — the lesson closes. The record, tested, is damning enough where it is documented — an opium trade run as state policy, war profits at a Senate committee's own figures, eugenics money granted into a criminal regime's research establishment, a sincere man's life destroyed by documents his own government forged for him — and needs no claim to stand. That is the discipline this page set out to model, and it is the discipline its readers are asked to keep.
